Overview
We specifically designed our Leica DM LP polarization microscope for all
polarization-optic observations, examinations and measurements in parallel
(orthoscopic) and convergent (conoscopic) light. These techniques are
particularly useful for samples of rock, minerals, glass, mineral fibres,
asbestos fibres, glass-metal, glass-ceramics, liquids, liquid crystals,
polymer foils and fibres, kidney and gall stones, collagen, muscle fibres,
chemicals, drugs and paints.
This microscope is therefore perfect for industrial quality control,
for geological, crystallographic, mineralogical and forensic sciences
and for teaching.
